EQCONNECT SUPPORT SERVICES?

Eqconnect Support Services is a mental health support agency dedicated to serving the LGBTQIA+ community in the metropolitan area of Melbourne/Naarm. Comprised of members of the LGBTQIA+ community and close allies, our team provides tailored support for individuals living with a variety of mental health issues, acquired brain injuries, and intellectual disabilities.

We work closely with each person to help them achieve their unique goals and improve their overall well-being.

Our mission is to empower and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community by providing holistic support that addresses each individual’s specific and unique circumstances, goals and needs.

Through our compassionate, understanding and strength based approach we create tailored support programs and we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we are fortunate enough to support.

Eqconnect provides a wide range of One-on-One support services to participants including:

• Supports to achieve your plan goals & the ability to have ongoing reviews to align with your personal goals.

• Support in your home, at a local café, or wherever you feel most comfortable.

• Supporting you in your daily life, meals, housework and getting organised.

• NDIS compliant support services for self-managed or plan-managed participants.

• Providing tips and tricks to build capacity and distress tolerance.

• Home organisation and decluttering advice.

• Advocacy and referral for financial, legal and NDIS matters.

• Support for community engagement, including attending sports, theatre and festival events.

All of our staff have lived experience with mental health issues and neurodiversity. Our staff have countless years of combined experience in the community, mental health, customer service and home services experience.
